Why Rethinking Focus?
Our focus, and where we place it, determines our day, which then determines our week, and goes on to determine our life experience.

I created Rethinking Focus to support anyone living with ADHD symptoms- whether you have a diagnosis, you are waiting for an assessment, or you simply find yourself struggling with aspects of daily life- these programmes are here to help.

In our one-to-one sessions, we'll move through my six-week programme together, becoming intentional about our actions and RETHINKING where we place our FOCUS.
My Story
For years, I moved through the education system with a persistent feeling that something was "wrong with me."
I couldn't quite name it, but I knew I struggled with things that seemed effortless for others.
It wasn't until I became a mother that everything became clear. The ADHD symptoms I'd lived with for so long suddenly had a name, and I recognised them not just in myself, but in the people I loved most.

Having practiced meditation on and off since I was a teenager, my experience in motherhood caused me to take a serious interest in Mindfulness. I wanted to support my family, to give them tools I never had, and as I practiced more consistently not only were my family benefiting but something remarkable began to shift within myself.

First, I simply felt calmer. Then I noticed I wasn't reacting as easily to everyday frustrations. Eventually, I reached a turning point: I started catching myself and shifting my focus before fixating on the wrong things. That's when I knew I needed to learn more, to train properly, so I could share these concepts with others who were struggling just as I had.

At the core of Rethinking Focus is the evidence-based Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), but it is my lived experience that puts the heart into how I work. Together we will work to identify the tricky spots, explore why certain areas of daily life feel particularly challenging, and practice finding what feels good.
Real transformation doesn't come from trying to be perfect or seeking to fix what's "wrong"- it comes from seeking to understand ourselves with compassion and learning to work with our mind, not against it.....and together, we'll do exactly that.
